LGSD - 2018-19 CAASPP Scores

The California Department of Education just released the results of the 2019 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics state assessment results for all schools. We would like to celebrate San Miguel Elementary for strong gains in both ELA and Mathematics, Vista La Mesa for strong gains in ELA, and Monterey Heights for strong gains in Mathematics!

The Smarter Balanced tests were designed to demonstrate students’ competency under the Common Core standards, which California adopted in 2010. Most questions are multiple choice, with a performance task requiring students to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The tests are given in grades 3 to 8 and 11.
