Expanded Learning Program Attendance Requirements

 

In accordance with the California Education Code Section 8483(1)(a)(1) that provides funding for the Lemon Grove School District’s Expanded Learning Program (E.L.P.), the following regulations regarding attendance and reasonable late daily arrival of pupils to the Before School program are required. It is the intent of the California Legislature that students participate in the full day of the program every day to accomplish program goals.

If you need your child to arrive to the Before School program after the initial opening, please specify the days, hours and the reason(s) for requesting late arrival by completing a LATE ARRIVAL FORM (see links below for Late Arrival forms based on your child's school).

 

Please Note: Priority enrollment in the before school E.L.P. will be given to students who will utilize the program, full-day, every day. FIVE non-compliance infractions related to the minimum attendance requirements will result in disenrollment from the Extended Day Program.

 

Before School Program Daily Minimum Attendance Requirements
Students MUST attend the E.L.P. for at least 50 percent of the program’s operating hours & arrive to the E.L.P. before the time indicated on their late arrival form to be eligible for the Before School Expanded Learning Program.

 

Afterschool Daily Minimum Attendance Requirements
Students MUST remain in the E.L.P. until the time indicated on their early release form to be eligible for the After School Expanded Learning Program.

• Please complete 1 Late Arrival form per child if requesting to drop your child off to the program after the before school program opens.

• Early Release Form 
• Please complete 1 Early Release form per child if requesting to pick up before program closing at 6:00pm.
