Our district social workers provide individual and group counseling and skill building along with the ability to connect with resources within the district and community. SEL Resources

Second Step - Committee for Children, the maker of Second Step® programs, believes that Social Emotional Learning (SEL) can help us navigate differences, appreciate one another’s perspectives, and act with empathy and compassion in our day-to-day lives. Committee for Children also believes SEL can be leveraged to speak to children’s cultural assets, help educators examine their policies and practices through an equity lens, and bring in the voices of those who have historically not been heard.

Six of our school sites use Second Step to provide our students ongoing, weekly SEL lessons throughout the school year.

Panorama- A data dashboard that Lemon Grove School District utilizes to see a picture of the whole child and plan for their success. Student Success dashboard allows staff to see academics, attendance, behavior and social emotional surveys all together. The survey section allows us to administer surveys to our students and staff about their wellbeing and connectedness to their school. And the Panorama Playbook gives our staff many relationship building activities to do with our students to continue to build connections and community within our schools.

Navigate 360- Provides the Lemon Grove School District a second level of intervention focused on specific skills. We can assign a student a lesson as a restorative intervention to help educate and provide practice for the skills we want to see. This program also has a caregiver component that can help families provide support on specific topics at home.
