WELCOME TO CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES

The Lemon Grove School Nutrition Services Program is devoted to offering healthy, nutritious, and cost-free meals to all students, creating an environment where every child can excel both academically and physically. We are dedicated to encouraging balanced diets, fostering lifelong wellness, and enhancing the overall well-being of our school community by providing meals that are nourishing and meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Our mission is to equip students with the nourishment they need for success while contributing to a healthier future for our community.

We are pleased to inform you that all students attending the Lemon Grove School District for the 2026 - 2027 school year will receive FREE breakfast and lunch, as we continue to operate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program under the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and/or Afterschool Snack Program for the 2026 – 2027 School Year at all school sites.

We need your help to ensure adequate funding for our schools. Please complete a 2026-2027 Alternate Household Income Form online for all LGSD students starting this school:

Meal Accommodation Form

If your student has a food allergy, please access and complete the Meal Accommodation Form. A licensed physician’s signature is required to help ensure your student’s safety. Our school takes your child’s dietary needs seriously and is committed to creating a safe environment. Meal accommodations mean adjusting the menu to meet a person’s specific dietary requirements, which could include substitutions or other changes.

Common allergens requiring a Meal Accommodation Form include lactose intolerance, soy, eggs, and gluten.

USDA Nondiscrimination Statement

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027  (PDF), found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
